I see many retail premises vacant and have been vacant for some time and I wonder what's going on in the minds of landlords to let it sit vacant for so long.
On the flip side I see and talk to business owners who have a great understanding of the product/s they are selling but have very little business sense and this is what brings them down.
Bettina Liano's decision to move from Melbourne to New York cannot be due to rent. No one moves to another country just because rents in one city are high. It's obviously a strategic decision by her and her company to tap into the US market by way of a shop front initially and continue to use stockists in Australia
