??????????????????????????? my response to the whole question of shorted stock... Do they just buy back when they wish to cover slowly making SP go slowly up or does a rush occur. Or do they just leave them to avoid a rush? Does it matter? ....Who sells to a shorter covering if the SP is going up further as the 197 million shares get covered..When do we find out that there are no shorted shares left due hopefully to the bright LYC prospects apart from the intrepid few who short with Cypus etc.
If the levels of shorted stock arent relevant why have the data available.
Who really owns the shorted stock..does it matter who owns what?? I hopefully own mine...
The more I read the more abstract the whole concept.
What would happen for arguments sake if political crap stops, LYC announces solid contracts with higher basket price, etc etc ,bright news everywhere ..would shorted stock reverse to a rapid 197 million share buy over 1-2/7. Effect on SP would be what?
The extreme example should reveal the fundamentals.
Any basic glimmer of reasonable opinion would be really appreciated.
