I think Rorkes poses a very good question and I would like to understand it further.
When we bandy around the 197,000,000 shares being shorted, does that mean
the amount of shares that are out there, that can be lent to be shorted???
Or the amount out there that need to be covered?? Also not sure where this info is found using this figure from previous posts??
When you go to http://www.asx.com.au/data/shortsell.txt it shows, 1121869 gross short sales for the 21st? Im assuming thats how many were borrowed, then sold on the 21st and need to be covered???
