Mike..Why should retailers only be allowed to earn a wage yet commercial property owners under your system be allowed to to gouge out all Profit?
Ask your local office of state revenue: Why is it that Land Tax is paid by the tenant and not the commercial property owner? It's always been that way. But don't forget the GST was meant to remove all these indirect state taxes right?
Anyway, I'm with Mike68 on this one. Let's rescue commercial landlords after all they have too many burdens as it is, we should also introduce a Poll Tax Thatcher/Kennett style on every first born in the country to cover any further vacancies in their commercial property portfolios.
I agree with Mike68. There is just no point putting taxpayer dollars into productive parts of the economy.
The new Abbott Government better modify the Houses and Holes strategy of the past 10 years. I'm sure they will they are just so different to Labor. LOL
