Publishing & Broadcasting Limited (PBL) has bought 41% of Australia's most popular motoring sales web site. The cash-free purchase will see carsales. com. au take over a number of PBL online businesses, such as the carpoint, boatpoint and horsepoint sites, and the ACP Publishing subsidiary Equipment Research Group (ERG). The deal will also allow carsales. com. au to access the ACP distribution network and ninemsn web site for five years. PBL is expected to list the company in early 2007, in a similar fashion to its purchase of employment website seek. com. au in August 2003 and subsequent listing.
