THE long-running efforts of Perth-based resources junior WHL Energy to find a cashed-up partner willing to join in the hunt for oil and gas in the Seychelles finally appear to have paid off.

WHL is set to announce this morning that it has secured a letter of intent that will see a major company come in and help fund the exploration of WHL's potentially large but early-stage prospects around the Indian Ocean nation........
