The $800,000 comes from several sources within the Labor Party. But is doesnt matter at what level it hits. The revenue they expect will be markedly less because these people will put markedly less into super. It is a stupid idea.
As for super scheme itself, I agree with you! I hate it. Government forcibly removes money from you which you could happily utilise on a number of things, keeps it until you retire 20, 30, 40 years down the track. Makes you put the money with super funds with boards stacked with their mates, left and right, and then once your safely enforced into the system tax the crap out of it and charge incessant fees.
Just another typical patronising government policy where these numpties who you wouldnt trust with your garbage decide they know how best to look after YOUR money.
