I never suggested you were excited with Abbott becoming PM. You have sought to extrapolate to suit your argument. As to a free ride by the media??? What piffle. Maybe to re-weight the media you should continue to buy Fairfax and other left leaning publications. Or perhaps you would do better to examine your conscience and forget useless and typically shallow leftist ideology.
And please don't write tripe in reply about your right to believe what you like. I am not concerned with that, rather I am concerned about the lack of critical analysis of the left which you so staunchly support and defend.
It doesn't seem that you or your leftist cohort put any store in the collective mood of the people. Firstly, you ignore the polls; secondly, you concentrate not on the current government but the Opposition; and thirdly, you trot out leftist dogma rather than reason.

The leftist leaders are great at proscribing what everyone should do yet they are the least likely to do it. You would do better not focusing on leftist politicians for inspiration but saints like St. Francis of Assisi and St Ignatius of Loyola. Men who actually gave up their wealth and power and didn't sit back telling everyone how they should act or what they should do in advancing the collective good as they saw it.
For example, look at the leftist crooks. They are the first to talk of downtrodden, abused and poor workers. They see workers as victims. They say to the workers 'you need us to help and protect you.' Yet the leftist crook leaders are the first to dine like the millionaires they dispise so much. They are the first to Cheat their way to power. Cheat their way in power and never show or express one bit of concern for those they misled with their feigned sincerity to get their in the first place. They are typically remorseless leftist scum.
As they walk out of prison or ICAC or anywhere else the journalists ought to ask them 'How do you reconcile your rhetoric about poor and exploited workers to your criminality you rat?' 'Do you think you acted in their interests like you portrayed you would?' 'When will you and your left mates stop using the notion of oppression as a tool to gain power for you to exploit?'
Crean, Ferguson and Bowen are the only gentleman in the current federal ALP. They are true men for the idealistic left 'worker' They can see the distinction between saying you will do good and actually doing good. They know, like most Australians that the current government is a disgrace. They have by their actions shown that they are decent men. They knew should they fail in restoring Rudd to office of PM that they would have to go from the front bench. They took death before dishonour. The independents should too.
Your blind faith in the current federal government is a worry. For all the sensitive writings on power and money, you overlook the greatest power freak's behaviour and egregious waste of taxpayer money. Sadly, without proper consideration of the nation's needs the waste and distress caused escalates.
