old hc is back - this is great, page-245

I acknowledge that you will bring the new HC back and it had very good features but you need to listen to what people say here.

I am also aware that the basis of new HC is only $250 software Xenforo. That is very cheap software to run a huge Hotcopper site. No need to spend expensive maintenance costs for your free web site. That's fair.

However you also have to acknowledge that if you can't provide the easy to use navigation features of old HC site, you will be wrecking your own Hotcopper business.

I can also guess that your traffic in the new HC site in this week, was not more than 1/5th of the traffic you used to have on your old web site. That would be telling you the disastrous situation you put yourself in. Then you reversed it back. That's fair too.

You are right we have to help you in deed if we want to have the good features of old HC and new HC together. However I am not sure if you would be able to make the changes and put the good features of old HC to this fixed module Xenforo software which costs you only $250.

For example, the biggest problem for me was to having to browse through to the end of a thread to check for new posts. That was really stupid. (I am not sure if there a way to do that though. I couldn't find a way to bring the new posts to the top of the thread! I was that stupid maybe!)

I also used to enjoy seeing the top posts with the highest thumbs up scores on every thread. That was very helpful when I was making research on stocks.

There was other things; the front page of old HC was giving us much more idea about what was happening all around.

And old HC was much faster in deed. We need speed here. The new HC was taking much more time of mine and I stopped using it in last couple of days as i didn't want to waste my time. (I use Firefox and I think it was one of the fastest for using the new HC).

The best thing I like with the new HC, it gave me the opportunity to spend much more time to do my other jobs as i didn't like to use it. (Disclaimer; I have been in IT business for 20 years, hence I have quite a bit of skills to use the computers and software)
