The first thing that I would have to ask to you is, has WEG paid the $20million dollars for the Environmental Bond? As far as I can see, WEG didn't. Hence why the failure to complete was announced with the consequent termination of the JV.

AS such and IMHO, No CK., We don't owe WEG anything. That money wasn't WEG's in the first place. It was money paid to the JV by a third party in exchange for an offtake agreement. And it was clearly stated in my original post.

As such, that money was going to be repaid by the JV (WEG included), and now that JV is no longer in existance. Not until we will be told otherwise by the company itself anyway.

So, IMO we don't owe WEG any of those $20million dollars. It wasn't their money that was spent to begin with, so how could they lay a claim to it. If they were to argue that they own 50% of that, then they would be liable for the repayment of that equivalent amount back to the lender.
