    This thread is a little strange - Natural gas whether it is conventional gas, coal seam gas or shale gas is methane. that is CH4.

    Various fields have a number of other components, the main one being CO2. However, all gas is treated such that the end product meets the quality required to be put in a pipeline and sold to utilities.

    What am I missing?
