Reuters put out a 'mistaken' report that Cyprus was going to sell their gold reserve - $523 million worth. This is supposedly what sent the Comex lower overnight. Damage appears to have been successfully affected.

Last week there was a report that Cyprus signed a contract with the ?ECB that would force them to forfeit their gold should they fail to maintain financial obligations. Doesn't mean that the gold would ever be traded through Comex.
