You have obviously not taken the time to pick up the phone and speak to IK by that sentiment, because if you had you would understand how wrong you are to apply same to MNM.

Any idea why MNM is being granted these new tenements in Vic?

Think of the triple bottom line. Think of the ILUA at MtM. Think of Native Title. Heck, think of Deans Marsh.

No mining company will get any new mining venture off the ground unless the social, economic and environmental impacts are completely and fully addressed...

...the days of a big miner just coming in and raping the land are numbered...

...but to leave the resources in the ground and expect Australian families to pay 3 to 4 times and more for electricity which it would cost via wind, solar, etc is naive as well.

I've been through LV recently and the amount of closed businesses and vacant premises was scary.

Whether we like it or not, brown coal mining is here to stay and, unfortunately, the few may have to suffer for the benefit of many, however, if a way could be found to utilize this BC whilst minimizing environmental affects, then maybe all could benefit.

I'm not certain what IK has planned for these LV tenements, but whatever it is, it will be socially, economically and environmentally considered.
