Well Hanrahan, from what I've seen on many ocassions, he Lines 'the Broomstick' up Two Eyed, with Feet basically Square behind it,then while keeping his Hands positioned on 'the Broomstick' shifts his feet and Eyes to basically the Convential stance to Putt the Ball in the legal manner.
Therefore, 'the Broomstick',can be of extra assistance and what's more it's not good to watch.
