    The sad lesson I have learned the very hard way is that when there is a major panic coming, it is best to be an early seller and accept the lower prices on offer.

    I suspect you will have the opportunity to buy back the shares at a lower price if that is what you want. So just watch the markets closely, but do not buy on the first bounce back in the price of gold. While nobody knows where it may end, some suspect it could go as low as USD1100 or even lower. If that turns out to be the case then you will have been really glad that you sold. I would consider looking more broadly than SLR later on, because there is likely to be a heap of extremely cheap goldie shares just like in late 2008.
