My superficial assessment of Gonski is that it is another socialist redistribution of dollars. Increase funding to the lower socioeconomic kids and indigenous kids and by some stroke of magic the home circumstances will improve the the indigenous kids will start going to school. At the same time reduce funding for the kids whose parents pay the lions share of taxation! The bit I really like is buying ipads so these kids can use the NBN.
