The government of malaysia requires income from its citizens and from the industries within the country.
Lynas appear that they will be a very big contributer to government and thus the country.
its worth remembering that with politicians, talk is always cheap before an election, they don`t stay in power when they lower the standard of living of their citizens if they make emotional decisions that reduce the income they need to operate with. If they have a choice of stopping LYNAS and increasing the taxes of the citizens or other industries to compensate for the loss of income from Lynas, do you think they will do that?
