The wind industry is built on lies which are repeated over and over and are accepted by those who, unlike Mr Lyons, fail to take to the trouble to examine them.

The three big “whoppers” are -

1. Wind farms abate greenhouse gas emissions;

2. Wind provides reliable power to thousands of homes;

3. Wind farms provide economic benefits.

Independent studies from Bentek Energy in Colorado and Texas in the United States, from C Le Pair in the Netherlands and from Wheatley in Ireland all demonstrate that when you look at “real life” data (not computer models), wind farms do not save green house gas emissions and can, in fact, increase them. Mechanical engineer Hamish Cumming (Australia) has concluded, from examining publicly available data, that three of Victoria’s brown coal plants are burning six million tonnes more coal per annum than they otherwise would if wind farms were shut down.
