    Hey All41,
    Sure looks as you say

I wonder though, if a family can take on a 30 year mortgage, lets say yearly income of 600,000 and 30 year mortgage on a house of 1,200,000

Why cant US government have debt of 200% GDP on long dated bonds?

I know that historically it is unprecedented for major Economies to carry so much debt outside times of war, but how do we know what is and is not sustainable?
To have this much debt at such low interest rates is probably unprecedented - war or not.

If FED stops buying bonds, what happens to interest on Gov. Bonds?

If Interest rates increase on Gov. Bonds does, will that put pressure on Fed to slow down on QE early?

If China want to sell a lot of T-bills, will Fed have to absorb them to support low interest rates?

If you were china, what would you do? - sell T-bills and buy resources to keep your people from revolting? - energy and food.

Russia has a lot of both, how do you think they would like to handle these contracts - in US Dollars or something else?

Outside of India who are the largest buyers of Gold? - can we know this? and would we know about it in time if it reversed?

Most of the worlds growth moving forward will come from BRIIICS - what they trade is will be influenced by the BRIC development fund - will that be in USD, EURO, a basket of currencies? - who will decide?

Timber, do you think these questions are important, or am I naive?

Thanks for your thoughts on Danholds statement - I think much can be done to position and influence without breaking obvious laws. Also Maybe the whole game is a mess and totally unpredictable no matter who you are.

Seams to me though, if you can work out the range of possible moves on this chessboard - should be pretty easy to create wealth.
