Bill82, I think you have some unrealistic expectations as to the grade you would be "happy" with compared to the type of deposit this is. I would encourage you to look at what other large scale mines of this particular type are producing at. This isn't a small scale Kalgoorlie Gold mine. Mining method selection look importantly at tonnes AND grade.
One thing that PNG has going for it is that the cost base in some regards is a lot cheaper than here in Australia. We need to be comparing apples with apples and not apples with oranges.
