lamba, I have very rarely shorted, and am not short anything now (or for a few years).
And yes, I can generalise - how many LYC holders only hold shares through a CR? And see how many HCites follow the daytrading threads.
As to being lent without the knowledge of the holder, well, that's their fault. They are quite entitled to tell their brokers that their shares are NOT to be lent.
After today's non-announcement, who needs shorters to keep the SP low anyway!
