Have been reading this thread with some interest. Agree that we are at peak investment for new projects. However we shouldn't forget that operators are required to run plants/mines so we should new roles to replace those in construction. Will it be a 1 for 1 replacement? No but will still require many people.
Thinking of picking up a property in Manning. Looking for old house (s&%t hole) on 800m2 block. I think the going rate is around $800-$850/sqm. Am I right in my assumption? I have seen smaller blocks (450m2) selling for in excess of a $1000/sqm. Can't believe I am considering paying that price, but also never thought I'd get based salary I'm on now either.
