I think you guys are seriously underestimating public sentiment towards resource activity in the Kimberley - it's not good, and opposition is growing. You may hate the greenies, but they're very good at rallying the people to a common cause, and when a local politician sees half his electorate camped outside his house deriding this or that, he listens. I admit the change they can achieve is limited, but at the end of the day they can interrupt activities (whether it's activists on the ground chained to bulldozers, or public backlash that will delay a federal minister from giving the ok on a project - he wants to get voted in next term). And the longer an operation produces nothing, the more expensive it gets, and that's when a company will throw in the towel. I strongly believe the JPP fiasco suffered from a lot of what I just mentioned. Whilst I don't think Buru faces a similar fate, we can no longer pass off hippies and activists as an ineffective minority, they're really beginning to shake things up and more often than not, they're succeeding.
