I was just reading through DML's "Letter to shareholders" of 1 Feb and it seems to me that CF were quite tricky to deal with - especially the part:
"...the Bidder cited that it relied on DML’s “breach” to let the Offer lapse. The Board believes that CFI included and then maintained the CoC condition as a means by which CFI could withdraw the Offer at any stage. In the Directors’ opinion, this sort of condition, which provided optionality to CFI on whether or not to proceed with the Offer is not in the spirit of Australian takeover law."
Perhaps their latest "offer with conditions" is just another delaying tactic to see if DML gets into an even worse position, so they can pick up the pieces for peanuts.
It common knowledge that the world needs to produce as much copper in the next 25 years as has been produced in the history of humanity....
....so CF needs DML more than DML needs CF and CF should act accordingly!
