The shorts have been winning since Feb 2012...a long time.
It now seems childish to gloat about the chance of them being burned.
Stocks such as LYC have an uncanny way letting shorters off the hook by a convenient drop in SP just before the key good news event.
It will now be interesting to see if that happens to LYC.
Had I shorted LYC over the past year I would have won a fistful rather than loosing a fistful being long. The name of the game is to make as much money as we can and being long on LYC over the past year has been counterproductive. My mistake was to underestimate the delay tactics of SMSL. I thought that the court hearings would be over in a few months and that we would have been pumping out product by last September @ $50+ basket price and less than $20 COP.
Your trusty broker probably made a handful too by loaning your shares to the shorters.
Perhaps, rather than being a dog in the manger, we should be studying and appreciating the skills of the shorters rather than criticising them because its all about making as much money as we can.
