re: it's about to go off - meerkat This means that the buyer is showing an undisclosed amount of stock. These orders must have a dollar value of $200,000 or more. If you partially trade with this buyer and its value was reduced to below $200,000, it would then disclose the remaining volume of the bid. If it remained over $200,000, then it would still be undisclosed. Brokers can also use a combination of disclosed and undisclosed quantities on their orders. When somebody trades with the combination order, the amount of the disclosed quantity will reduce to zero before the amount of the undisclosed quantity is traded.
