Hi Favre, I also was wondering if the CEFC might be behind this funding. I cannot see why not.
Referring to the CEFC Act: "The Corporation is a mechanism to help mobilise investment in renewable energy, lowemissions and energy efficiency projects and technologies in Australia, as well as manufacturing businesses and services that produce the required inputs. The Corporation will invest at the demonstration, commercialisation and deployment stages of innovation. The Corporation has been established to finance Australia’s clean energy sector using financial products and structures to address the barriers inhibiting investment."
In the Deloitte report "Design Features of the Clean Energy Finance Corporation" it mentions:
"The CEFC could act as a facilitator between clean energy and technology companies, government, private sector and international investors."
Also
"Similarly, the CEFC could play a key role in facilitating outbound growth of renewable energy and clean technology companies to help to accelerate access to export markets for Australian technologies."
CFCL have put Australian market on hold, presumably this could bring aust back in the fold for manufacturing locally.
Cheers
