    I never said there should be no government funding, did I?

    Geeze, some of you guys need to read first and then think for at least 30 seconds before hammering off a reply.

    As it happens I do have Telstra fibre to the house, and in the big 5/6 city conurbations it would be very cost effective. If the tax payer were to give an allowance for rural areas then so be it, but why does one deserve the same cost base when living in the back on nowhere.

    Do these folks demand the same cost for everything else? Do they want to pay the city rates that 80%+ of the population pays?
