Hi Fitza....was there for 5 years...have a friend working for the UN down in Rakhine state helping out with the Buddhist Muslim conflict....the govt are VERY worried about it blowing up nationally....digesting...i remembered a couple of years ago he told me he was in one area and gas was leaching out of the ground!!!....one of the locals he was working with decided to check if it was gas so he lit it with a lighter (i'm not kidding).....only took a few fingers off if my mem is correct...sounds crazy but true....post changes it was hard living there...especially being married to a local...constantly watched...i had to leave the country every 10 weeks to get a visa in Bangkok...bit weird going through immigration and the officers knew my name where i lived who with plus daughters name...without looking at the departure card...not once but many times....corruption at every turn...lived in Cambodia for 7 yrs and thought that was corrupt......nothing like Myanmar!!!!
