Myanmar….like trackers has said ……quite a way off and hasn’t been decided as yet…..just been invited by Burmese Govt. and as you have indicated which is quite right, corruption is everywhere, just in varying degrees wherever you may be.

I would expect that they (our company heads) would have the grey matter to gauge which of their counterparts in industry are interested in bidding therefore protection in numbers may be a consideration in the final analysis. Who knows?

LYC is one company which has suffered at the hands of lobbyists and I ended up taking a very short haircut over that but am out of it.

LYC are in Malaysia and are separated from Burma by Thailand so not a great distance between the two countries. The issue there was due to the perceived danger from the by-products of the processing of rare earths. Different animal from O&G but who knows what starts the next political ball roll up there.

Roll on the American interests I say.
