iron mike, nothing to debate about Pickering's (Paul Perry) character, it is well documented and many many links have previously been posted here on HC, and a simple google search for Pickering scams will reveal even more.
You are well aware of this already, but for some reason you still seem to revere Pickering.
Murdoch changes his allegiances when it suites him, and currently he is in the midst of an anti Labor campaign and a pro Liberal campaign.
Murdoch dictates the editorial direction of his media empire, which I understand is about 70% of Australia's media.
Which by my calculations, leaves about 30% to split up between right\left\other leaning media.
Just because the media doesn't report what you think they should, doesn't amount to suppression of information.
If you measure left leaning the same way it is done here on HC, then you may need to reassess how you measure political leaning.
Going by the media articles that are continually posted here on HC, right wing seems to be overly represented with the likes of Pickering, Smith, Bolt, Ackerman, etc.
So from at least that aspect there should be no reason for you to complain.
Anyway just so there is a starting point, what percent of the media would you estimate was leaning left\right\neutral\etc?
You can split it up in to Radio\TV\Newspapers if you like.
P.S. mike68, are you comparing Rupert Murdoch's media to the Italian mafia? I'm not sure of the point you were trying to make.
