So as an example you currently earn $100 per week.
The union want a 36hour week and a 13% increase
$100 + $13 = $113 $113/36 = $3.14 an hour
The boss offers 38hour week and 16% increase.
$100 + $16 = $116 $116/38 = $3.05
Looks like the boss wins if you take his offer.
