The really scary part about all this is, that the word BILLION is thrown around by the politicians like it's not too much to worry about.
My understanding is that ONE BILLION dollars equals ONE THOUSAND MILLION dollars so, when they speak of a potential deficit of 20 BILLION dollars then we are talking serious money.
All thinking Australians will need to be prepared for a lengthy period of belt-tightening to reverse our current situation.... a bit like the family who maxes out all their credit cards ???
