Hi

I am assuming most of the posters here are male and good kind people. Can you please answer honestly:
why do we not use the simple method of de-sexing of repeat sex offenders, active paedophiles etc? It is a minor procedure, it's cheap, our overwhelmed prison and legal system can concentrate on crimes of violence, white collar crime etc. and these people can probably be taken back into society and become useful, peaceful and anonymous citizens again, needing no further expensive supervision.

It would have the added benefit of making would-be sex offenders have a good re-think of acting out on their obsessions. My guess is that we would still get some of the more horrific crimes, because those deviants are obviously also highly intelligent manipulators and believe they 'can get away with it', but the social burden of carrying and mollycoddling multiple minor sex offenders would be much less. All the fuss about re-settling known and convicted paedophiles would be a non-eventand; we would be spared those multiple and salacious reports on TV and in newspapers - I can only see benefits.
