theburbs: this is what gold in core looks like at Morila, however I could not find the grade for this particular sample.
You are correct about the same geological trend, I believe this is communicated in the BGS company information.
The Morila (Mine) shear (fault) zone hosts gold mineralisation in a meta greywacke and has a strike of NNW (Hammond et al 2001). These NNW structures are said to be secondary from a larger Banifin NE shear zone (Hammond et al 2001). The companies maps provided in announcements show the Ntiola Lode trend has a similar strike.
The nature of the Ntiola trend is not stated at all by the company. BGS places significance on the orientation of the Ntiola Lode. The maps displayed at the company web site for the Massigui Project illustrates these NNW trends in the larger area. The large Barifin Shear zone is illustrated on the first map.

My interpretation is that there can be many high grade pockets of Au still waiting for exploration teams to detect. Especially if they access to extensive data to save time.
IMO...
There could be another Morila sized deposit here too. It is not unheard of to find the big ones by accident or by calculated assessment and just simply looking over old ground.
