Dis, the $7.5b is the difference in cost, the actual cost is offset by the installation of the Coalitions 40,000 to 60,000 street cabinets and the 320,000 to 720,000 batteries for those street cabinets etc..
makattack, so your clients can upload 1gig files from home locations while still being able to use their Internet connection effectively for other work? Wow, I'm impressed.
The choice now is only between the two versions of NBN, so the current choice is which one makes more sense. You stated you believed the Coalitions version was the lesser of two evils, despite the Coalitions version making less financial sense than the current NBN.
jantimot, I have ADSL2+ and I also have wireless which has it's own issues.
I have had wireless for many years with mixed results, but home base is better served with a fixed line connection.
As more and more devices at home rely on an Internet connection, a fixed line connection is preferable to a home base situation for various reasons.
