Firstly if your smuggling drugs your just an idiot.
Secondly i don't think the death penalty is ever warranted even in the most horrible crimes such as murder - it is only an easy way out. It's far greater punishement to make people guilty of those crimes (such as murder) rot in solitary confinement with only the bare minmum of food for survival and no human contact or sun for the remainder of their lives.
Thirdly yes smuggling drugs of course bad but i think these guys drew the short straw if people think it was like some one off incident and they've caught the problem then they're delerious - i wouldn't be suprised if there where many more bringing drugs through airports undeteced each and every day. "Millions of dollars worth of drugs" - yeah yeah sure it sounds big when you throw those figures out there but look at users and the distribution and i'm sure that "big haul" would of been distributed and straight in a small portion of addicts vains and all done in a week or two.
