What happened in mid Dec?

This hit is very similar to the very best of Paris, a lot of which otherwise is not so exciting. Then here we have the gold and unknown scale. Basically these days if you have something that the majors might like you get paid some value, if not then the market doesn't care as much.

I brought this topic up over beers last night, which included a call OS to someone who knows the ground. Nothing enlightening outside of what has been discussed on these threads was raised. I.e how could they miss it?; the raise must have been pre-conceived; corporate action doesn't look good; they could get in trouble if there is anything untoward; is it ppb not ppm; etc etc etc. But on the flip side obviously, - if it is the real deal then holders will be well rewarded. Consensus - 50/50. So no new light was shed and we'll just have to wait and see.

All very very strange.
