I totally disagree with your opinion about Qantas Service. I have travelled with Thai and the service and food is excellent.
I was disgusted to see the poor quality of food. Worse than hospital food. It is insulting. The behaviour of staff degrading and did not care. IMO they thought it was a joke. I noticed that others could not eat the food.

If you asked for another drink during the flight you waited far too long. I got the feeling you annoyed them. A lady nearby commented about the attitude of staff. Walking to the check out I over heard another couple to comment about the service and attitude of staff. It was not any better on the way home.

I have travelled six times in six months and can say that other airlines offer a much better service than Qantas.

I am disgusted with the company and rubbish its name due to the appalling response to my complaint about service.
