I'm not so sure about that one in general. Perhaps individual cases yeas, but in general I'm not sure that more punishment=better society. that's not to say that no punishment =a better society either. Perhaps consistency is a better thing to aim for.

"2) The lack of interest of our Police and authorities to do with anything less than serious / provable crime."

I'm not interested in living in a police state. I also think that there are far too many laws. I'd prefer much fewer laws that are applied consistently. If the truth were to be told, we all probably break a few laws every day,there are that many of them.

"3) The tolerance for stupidity and excuses.
4) The lack of responsibility people are able to get away with.
5) The compensation mentality
6) The litigation mentality"

Totally agree. I would add to that the blame mentality and just simple greed. Toxic mix.


"7) Multi-culturalism diluting acceptable behaviour."

Agree.Multiculturalism in general is a bad thing. Slow immigration from similar cultures while promoting assimilation of our cultural values I don't have a problem with.UK, Europe stuffed from muslim immigration, the US stuffed from hispanic immigration. Australia will be stuffed from muslim and other unassimilable immigration.Once they are here and have citizenship nothing can be done.
