it's brazil mate after all. all the punters have been there. they know better. someone sold all these tenements. they knew nothing !

instinct comes with experience. it's not always right but a valuable asset as you know only too well.

reminds me back around early 1970's when my pal introduced me to his racehorse trainer. I knew my form book well. I told the trainer he had a very good chance of winning the group race on the Saturday. he said no way. 6 runners and in it went at 33-1. I bet it to beat the field. 66-1

why ?

I knew different.

the form said it had a good chance. the others were better tho. my choice loved the distance. some of the others would have been happy at further or less.

my choice could act on the hard going.

NONE of the others could.

the going forecast was firm. my pal was clerk of the course. he was wrong.

I knew it was hard.

how ? I ran the course the previous evening.

how many of the punters have heard of brazil ? let alone been there !

the moral of the story is if you know for sure then stake your heart out. if not, then suffer the consequences.
