Both my grandfathers smoked the roll your owns; if you left them in the ashtray they would stop burning and could be relit/smoked later on.

The pre rolled smokes are full of chemicals which keep the smoke lit when you put it down...so they burn through and you have to light another one. All about profit I'm sure, end up smoking more in a day.

Non-smoker here, one grandfather died of lung cancer in his 60s, the other of old age in his late 80s. Both smoked from late teens.
