I don't quite understand what BB means by investors leaving the gold sector. For example I have been closely following RMS and in my opinion what they have done with shareholders funds is ... not fraudulent... but certainly 'disrespectful'.

RMS spent something like $150m on a new mine with very little to show. I mean zero in terms of $, but no detailed planning, not forecasts, not even any indication of things going wrong.

And RMS is probably are one of the "better" miners in terms of transparency. Most of them are just black holes for shareholders funds.

It would be interesting to collate all the ASX listed miners that are genuinely investable propositions (solidly profitable in the medium term)at these prices. I doubt there are less than 15 or 20 out of the 700+ mining companies that we could come up with.

One of BB's assets is that he posseses some credibility (would have had more if he hadn't sold at the top), and potentially he has the chance to actually build the diversified mining house he always dreamt of... so instead of chiding other managers, he should just arrange to buy up the semi profitable / undervalued ones and just show the market how it can be done.
