I haven't seen anyone argue that the Little Ice Age was anything other than a natural cycle. Nor was the Medieval, Roman, and Minoan Warm Cycles.
So, we have warming cycles and cooling cycles, why should this modest warming since the 1700s be considered any differently?
Short answer, because there is money to be made out of it.
That's why no one gives a rat's about asteroid impacts, SMEs or other real threats. Hard to make a buck out of a real catastrophic disaster.
