Totally agree Dazed, it usually is very friendly, with Moderated posts being very rare, so Purav hang around and contribute. But being a representation of society, there are the rare times that debate has become exhuberant, so think of this as the normal we had to have .
All part of posting, and learning to live with each other :))
Perhaps Purav should have ommitted the Time line in the TA, and leave that for the Gann students, then the analysis would still be in play. Personaly, I prefer to see what develops in the charts using price rather than constricting myself to time. The trend on a daily basis is still down, and my considerations are looking for that trend change per my posts today. Looking for the intraday trend and catch moves earlier, rather than waiting for lagging MAs. My prices today were based on the need to occur for trend to be changing. That is my thing though, and everyone has their own style and time lines. ( I just wish some were more tolerant of others different style...more of a comment directed to FA students who bag TA and think everyone must be like them). My posts while being different, may add to to some considerations on trading styles for a small few here interested in trading and TA. Not enough time is ever spent on actual executions and why, for others to perhaps modify or develope plans. Over many years I have read and watched much on TA to arrive at what is my niche and my comfort zone. That will definately not fit many, but there are some interested. That is how I did my indentures in trading, and my methods continue to be refined as I gain more and more real life experiences, and adjust for different times that continue to change our markets.
Trading methodoligy is something I would like to see a lot more discussion on. Like a super package over time, you can have 2 people trading the same shares, but a huge difference in the end result based around methods of operating.
I did start with stating I do not constrict myself to time, but I do use time as an indicator for possible trend changes, and do at times contribute these dates in advance, but that is more for possible outcomes on that or the following day, and a guide. It can be quite reliable for some shares or indicies at certain times. But like the market, there is times when it will respond very well, and then times when you drop it till the indictor starts working for you again. Nothing in the market can ever be 100%, and perhaps this is where the angst set in with some posts before. Its all about being right more often, and have an exit strategy for protection.
An example is attached, but warning, the reliability factor could be very vulnerable after me posting this, lol.
