well i think the q is, what are the turning points gold investors CAN look forward to? You have to look forward to something, to some event, to time your investments. My bet is that the real next turning point, one which will stop the gold price drop, will be when the US starts to increase interest rates again. Although that will signal the US economy is strengthening (leading to higher US dollar and a bad signal for gold), it also will signal that they (The Fed) are now worried about inflation, and it will also be when the bond mkt spooks. In the subsequent move to the door for some bond investors, there will be finance stock drops, and gold + gold stocks will rise because they will be one investment that is immune to the bond yield issue. Feel free to snipe away at these ideas, I am very pleased to be educated.
