Regarding papertiger's question about turning point for gold/gold stocks investors, I have a guess:
The price of gold will decline further, probably crash, possibly below USD$1000, as a result of paper gold trading/dumping.
At a certain price level so low, that the official sector, most likely the western central banks/IMF/BIS, will intervene. Why? they do not want to lose more physical gold to the Chinese housewives and to the Indian brides. A big restructure of the paper gold market will be forced on the bullion banks, and gold pricing will be returned to physical gold demand/supply.
Pain, big pain, before the bigger gain.
