relenza production time

Just found out Relenza is a smaller drug than Tamiflu and takes 9 months to make compared with about 12 months for Tamiflu.

Relenza dose is 5 mg while Tamiflu dose is 75 mg.

The apparent disadvantage of Relenza delivery must be offset by the huge cost and time advantage in manufacture.

It will be quicker to increase Relenza production than Tamiflu given the different source chemicals with the Tamiflu precursor chemical being in short supply while the Relenza source chemical is cheap and plentiful.
