Hi mike, I was just staring at the calculations thinking "but PI DOES have units. It is the only unknown in the equation, and if it didn't have units it wouldn't vary. But it does have units, which is why the first answer I got was 37.69 lb.in. And why it converts to 3.14 lb.ft. Then you posted!
The last part of the calculation for me was:
369972lb.in = 9816.02297PI lb.in
So PI = 369972/9816.02297 lb.in
= 37.69 lb.in ; or
= 3.140885 lb.ft.
