    Easy to prove yourself BG: just ring Perth Mint tomorrow and buy some gold, or Ainsley bullion, or any other dealer and see how many tell you that they don't have any gold to sell you.

    If you can get gold at just above the market price (which is down a heap) then you would reckon that there is no shortage of physical gold.
